Parents find it a challenge sometimes to engage their young kids at museums. With the help of our two programmes — Stories, Strings and Shadows and Rice is Nice — they were able to introduce Asian culture and heritage to their little ones. The former programme was about Asian puppetry; the latter, on the wonders of Asia’s staple food. Both offered storytelling and hands-on activities like crafts and object-handling, charming everyone in the family from toddlers to grandparents.
