Partner: National Museum of Singapore
Target group: Secondary school students
This programme inducted students into the socio-economic and political struggles of newly independent Singapore. The primary challenge was overcoming young Singaporeans’ indifference towards these struggles as they were unable to identify with them in their lives today. Yet, the programme also gave us a tremendous opportunity to convey the importance of the tough but rational choices in nation-building. Participants commented that this was a fun and eye-opening experience that also offered insights into a new nation’s challenges.
