Partner: Maritime Experiential Museum
Target group: Secondary school students
Maritime archaeology can sometimes be an overly technical subject. But we were able to circumvent the issue by incorporating just the right amount of technical information, explained simply, within the programme’s different components. We also made the programme exciting for students by having them role-play as archaeologists studying an “undersea” wreck. A favourite amongst teachers and students alike, the programme was lauded for developing its participants’ critical thinking, inference-making and historical investigative skills.
