There are many ways to engage students with history and museums, and here’s a creative one: make it a challenge. Students had to learn about the museum collection, write their own tour scripts and guide visitors after just 12 hours of docent training. The result – newly minted student-docents who shone brightly when they were finally given the chance to take their parents, friends and visitors on a tour of the museum!
