Singapore’s Early Zoos at the Central Public Library was an exhibition on private zoos run by residents in Singapore before independence. We developed and delivered a parallel programme for young children: storytelling with subsequent making of animal masks based on characters from the storybook, Akimbo and the Baboons. We also encouraged the participants to borrow library books on wildlife.
