Target group: Upper primary school students
We were aware that many Little India tours organised by travel agencies for students were merely cursory affairs, so we set out to devise an immersive one that would allow students to experience Indian culture and heritage in depth. Among our strategies: incorporating expert knowledge from the Indian Heritage Centre, and forging partnerships with shop owners so that students could see traditional activities like garland making and henna painting up close and even try them out for themselves.
